…and it’s (dramatic pause) SCHOOL! Squeal! Well, okay, I wouldn’t be still going to school if I didn’t like it, but I have to say that lounging around the house all through the month of January isn’t too shabby. I’ve made a little pocket money by driving, but otherwise I’ve been pretty well unproductive. Okay, so I did get a lot of creative writing done. And I’m in the middle of drawing a masterpiece (kind of–see below). I’ve also had to figure out a place to live for the Spring which was much harder than I expected. Other than that, nothing, though.

As for writing, I don’t want to go too far into it because frankly I think it would bore people. I had a bad headache the other day and was in one of those moods where I just can’t seem to pry a single word out of my brain worth keeping. I somehow ended up in front of my computer anyway and was pouting a little over what I’d written the night before, thinking it was crap. I did a little head-desk action, then managed to start writing. And idea came, and bang out came the words and poof there went the headache. It really is remarkable how a good forty-five minutes of writing can make me feel better.

Anyway, I’ve also had time to draw! Shocking, I know. It’s not that I haven’t had time all month, because I really have, I’ve just been wasting my time and didn’t want to get started on the project. Once I got started, though, it was all good. I wasn’t feeling real motivated obviously, so I went online to a gymnastics messageboard I frequent for news and discussions, and I asked for opinions on which of four photos I should draw. It was unanimous that I should draw the following picture of Nastia Liukin. I like the picture, but there’s another picture of Ivana Hong that I think has more interesting body position (that’s the second picture). If I ever have time, I’ll draw the one of Ivana. Right now, I have finished the outline of Nastia.
